what do you all think of parquet flooring ? ....

it's ok but you gotta make sure you don't have a termite problem to begin with.

elindra SG

My whole house flooring is parquet save for the toliets and the kitchen

Fatum SG

I love it, and have it in my room.

in other news, someone at work just came back from a trip to the US. and he came to the office. everyone is wondering if he should have quarantined himself first. :P

just get the guys to check your current flooring for termites before giving the go-ahead to lay the parquet. also good idea to treat it first.

side track...my friend jokingly remarked that the easiest way to get a seat on the train/subway these days is to start hacking and sniffling.

Fatum SG

oh no, I'm not laying anymore parquet in my house ... upstairs is already parquet ...

elindra SG

yeah ... just secured a distributorship for the material ... spun off from the kayu thingy ....

Fatum SG

help spread the word kay ....

I have some very nice samples of acasia wood .... this is the coming thing in parquet flooring ... lighter in color, harder, and less grain than teak ... will age beautifully ....

I can recommend contractors using my stuff ....

av98m SG

wah, just how many businesses do you have your fingers in o.O

elindra SG

Ok. Gratz on securing the distributorship.

Well usually ppl use paraquet for the flooring of their rooms

Unless they decide to go for the cheaper laminated flooring

The reason why my whole flat is paraquet flooring coz MPB dun want to chance me sneaking a dog back home :x

that case, perhpas a tie-up with a termite control biz would be ideal. provide 2-in-1 solution.

Bad idea. Coz you remind ppl that termites like wood :P

They might not even think of that possibility
